Doug Mosley book signing December 19, 2013, at ACPL From George W. to George W. By Lee Ann Jesee, Director Adair County Public Library The Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, will be hosting a book signing for former Columbian, Doug Mosley, 4pm-6pmCT, Thursday, December 19, 2013, 2013. The title of the book is From George W. to George W.. It sells for $16.95 plus tax...a total of $17.97. The book contains 283 pages and is a collection of humorous, strange and little known information from the lives of our first 42 presidents. The book covers presidential families, education, vice-presidents, religion, assassinations and attempts at assassination, log cabin presidents, and many other topics. An example of little known facts would be: "Which president, at one time sheriff of his county, was given the duty of springing the trap at the hanging of criminals given the death penalty?" Few people know that it was Grover Cleveland. Mr. Mosley was pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbia for several years and served in the Kentucky State Senate for 13 years representing Adair and surrounding counties. Co-author of the book is Dr. Dick Troutman who was the chair of the history department at Western Kentucky University and professor of history there for many years. Contact: Adair County Public library at 270-384-2472. The library is located at 307 Greensburg Street. --Lee Ann Jessee This story was posted on 2013-12-04 10:34:52
