Charles Brockman, Taylor County, KY (1919-2013)

He was a native of Taylor County, KY and a resident of the county at the tiime of his death. He was tthe son of the late Owen Brockman and the late Cora Holmes Brockman. His marriage to Lucille Franklin Brockman spanned over 68 years. He leaves 18 direct living descendants. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle

Charles Brockman, 94, Campbellsville, KY, died at 4:55amET, Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Campbellsville.

Celebration of Life Service, 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Pastor Bob Cutler Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at the funeral home.



Charles Brockman, Taylor County, KY (1919-2013)


He was the son of the late Owen Brockman and Cora Holmes Brockman. He was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, Monday, September 15, 1919. He died Saturday, November 30, 2013, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 94 years, 2 months, and 15 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He united in marriage to Lucille Franklin April 3, 1945.

Besides his wife, Lucille Brockman, he is survived by the following:
  • One son and one daughter: Charles E. Brockman and Sharon Sue Brockman of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: John Brockman, Robbie Brockman, Jessica Brockman, and Jeremy Brockman of Campbellsville, KY; and Denise Brockman of Houston, Texas

  • Eleven great-grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers: Nell Shipp, Betty Lemmon, Arlie Martin, two infant sisters, Ray Brockman, John Brockman, Herbert Brockman, and Abner Brockman.
