LWC Men's Basketball defeats Robert Morris in Lindsey Classic

Keshaun Mayfield has double double and high production of 18 points. Chase Cox hits five-of-nine from three point range

COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson men's basketball defeated Robert Morris (IL) University 95-83 in the Lindsey Wilson Classic on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center.



Tony Menton scored a team high 18 points while Keshaun Mayfield recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Ja'Ln Williams added a team high four assists to go with six points. Chase Cox went five-of-nine from the three-point line as he recorded 17 points for the Blue Raiders.

Robert Morris took their first lead of the game at the 18:26 mark of the second half when Greg Travis made a shot off an offensive rebound to give the Eagles a 39-38 lead. It would the only time in the game that Robert Morris would have the lead as Lindsey Wilson responded with a 15-3 run to take a 53-42 lead with 13:56 left in the game.

The Blue Raiders would push the lead to 13 at one point before the Eagles make a 15-2 run of their own to tie the game at 71 and again at 73. Lindsey Wilson would finish the game with a 22-10 run and win 95-83.

The Blue Raiders went 16-of-28 in the second half from the field and four-of-seven from beyond the three-point line as they would head to their fifth victory on the season.


Maurice Williams led Robert Morris with 24 points while Courtney Bell had a team-high 11 rebounds.

In first game of day two in the Lindsey Wilson Classic, St. Catharine (KY) College defeated Life (GA) University 104-98. On Friday night, day one of the Classic, Robert Morris defeated St. Catharine 84-73 while the Blue Raiders fell to Life 93-81. - Jay Nicols, Lindsey Wilson College
