He leaves 6 direct living descendants including one on the way. He was a handyman and a "jack of all trades". He was a member of the Willow Springs United Methodist Church and attended the World's Town Church of God in Junction City

Gerald Wayne Dalton, of Danville, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013, at the UK Hospital in Lexington. He was 51. Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, December 2, 2013, at Willow Springs United Methodist Church with Bro. Johnnie Maupin and Bro. Otis York officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Sunday, December 1, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and after 11amCT/12pmET, on Monday at the Church.



Pallbearers will be Anthony Redford, Delmer Lee Dalton, Michael Shane Hale, Jarrod Reardon, Bryan King, and Jordan Dalton. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter and Tanner Combs and Chad David Dalton.

Born October 29, 1962, in Boyle Co., KY, he was a son of Delmer Sherwood Dalton and the late Alma C. Foster Dalton. He died Friday, November 29, 2013, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 51 years, 1 month.

Gerald was a handyman and a "jack of all trades". He was a member of the Willow Springs United Methodist Church and attended the World's Town Church of God in Junction City.

Survivors include the following:
  • His son: Justin Dalton (and partner, Scott Gonyaw) of Stanford, KY

  • Twin daughters, Shelly Dalton (and fiance', Robbie Tate) of Lebanon, KY; and Kelly Jo (and husband, Carroll) Pike of Harrodsburg, KY

  • His father: Delmer Sherwood Dalton of Danville, KY

  • His fiance: Ruth Vanhook

  • Brothers: Randy (and wife, Shirley) Dalton of Liberty, KY; Michael (and wife, Rita) Dalton of Liberty, KY; and David (and wife, Patty) Dalton of Danville, KY

  • Sisters: Beverly (and husband, James) Redford of Danville, KY; Goldie (and husband, Mark) Wilson of Danville, KY; Balerie (and husband, Rodney) King of Danville, KY; and Lisa (and husband, Steve) Combs of McKinney, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Elissa Michelle Pike and Donovan James Tate

  • One granddaughter on the way, McKenzie Marie Pike

  • and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members
