Christmas in Columbia Parade: Theme, a Storybook Christmas

The 23rd Christmas in Columbia parade will be Friday-Sunday, December 6-8, 2013, with the parade under the lights, on Saturday evening, December 7, 2013, starting at 6pmCT with Hilda Legg this year's Grand Marshal, again a highlight of the program.

The parade is under the auspices of the Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce.

The parade will lineup will start at 4:30pmCT, with judging of floats at 4:45pmCT. All entries must be registered in advance of parade lineup. To deadline ot register is Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Chamber office, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY.

Entries will be judged in three categories:
  • Float Division, in County: 1st place, $300; 2nd Place, $200, 3rd Place, $100.
  • Non-Float Division: 1st Place, $100; 2nd Place, $75; and 3rd Place, $50
  • Out-of-County Float Division: 1st Place, $300; 2nd Place, $200.00
The parade will follow a path from Industrial Drive, north on Jamestown Street to the Public Square, past the reviewing stand in front of the Adair Annex Building, and then south of Burkesville Street.

A rain date for the parade is 6pmCT, Saturday, December 14, 2013.
