To label me a poet
Would be oh, so very wrong
I'd much rather be remembered
For writing a good gospel song

I'd love to write a song
That one day someone would sing
To hear those words put to music
To me great pleasure would bring

Singing with Friends in Jesus
Has become a pleasant endeavor
As we travel from church to church
And sing of God's love together

I'll leave the poetry to real poets
