Cloma Faye Murphy, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY. She was 92.

Funeral services are at 2pmCT/3pmET, Sunday, November 24, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY. Burial is in Murphy Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, 11amET/12 noon ET, until funeral service.

Born February 6, 1921 in Casey County, KY, she ws the daughter of the late Tommie C. and Lydia Wesley Elliott. She died Friday, November 22, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 9 months, and 16 days.

She was a homemaker and former truck driver during WWII. She was a member of the Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Cloma is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Sherwood Murphy, who died January 19, 2000; a son, George Denver Murphy; a daughter, Reva Dean Murphy; three brothers, Oris, Gid and Clovis Elliott; two sisters, Irene Spears and Pauline Pittman; and a grandchild.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Jerry (and Bonnie) Murphy of Liberty, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • Five great-grandchildren

  • And a sister, Fern Murphy of Liberty, KY
