JR Walls of Wilson Ridge community passed away Sunday November 17, 2013 at the Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY. He was 76.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday November 20, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be at Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at the funeral home.



JR Walls, Casey Co., KY (1937-2013)

Born April 29, 1937 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Artie Mae Hodge Walls. He died Sunday, November 17, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 19 days.

He liked to hunt and was an avid baseball fan and softball player.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Walls is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Velma Smither Walls, who passed away in 2006, and two sisters, Glenna Smither and Lois Allen.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Terry (and Patricia) Walls and Earl Walls both of Liberty, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • Two brothers: Bennie and David Walls both of Liberty, KY

  • Three sisters, Thelma Morse of Leitchfield, KY; Bonnie Gooch of Lexington, KY; and Lola Brown of New Whiteland, Indiana
