Evelyn Ruth (Shorty) Cheatham, Taylor Co., KY (1930-2013)

She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY at the time of her death. She was member of a highly regarded family, the daughter of the late Wiley and Dorothy Ethel Monroe Feese and the widow of Davis Cheatham. She leaves 17 direct living descendants. Mrs. Cheatham was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church and a waitress at Dairy Queen in Campbellsville for over 30 years

Evelyn Ruth "Shorty" Cheatham 83 years of Campellsville, KY passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at 10:26amET, at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabation Center in Campbellsville, KY. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 10amCT/11amET, at the Woodlawn Christian Church 831 W Main Street in Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Larry "Fella" Wilson the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be Tuesday after 4pmCT/5pmET, and after 8amCT/9amET, at at the Woodlawn Christian Church in Campbellsville.

She was born Sunday, May 11, 1930 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Wiley and Dorothy Ethel Monroe Feese. She died Monday, November 18, 2013 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 7 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband Davis Cheatham on December 27, 2000; and by two brothers, Howard Feese and Harold Feese.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Susie & her husband Ricky Skaggs of Campbellsville, KY; and Lisa Ann & her husband Gary Cash of Campbellsville, KY

  • One son: Mark Davis & his wife Lisa T. Cheatham of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: Bobby Joe & his wife Joyce Feese of Jamestown, KY

  • Nine grandchildren: Erin Estes, Adam Skaggs, Drew Skaggs, Jama Vaughn, Jessica Cheatham, Matthew Cash, Josh Cash, Stephanie Thompson, and Magan Cash

  • Five great grandchildren: Cameron Estes, Owen Skaggs, Miley Sprowles, Kenzi Vaughn, and Matilyn Thompson.

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends
