Lorene Taylor, 77, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. Nov. 12, 2013)

She was the daughter of the late Bailey and Eva Roach Davis a homemaker and member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church. Her husband, Raymon Taylor, survives. She leaves 64 direct living descendants spanning four generations.

Lorene Taylor, age 77, of Edmonton, KY, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday November 12, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Bailey and Eva Roach Davis a homemaker and member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Foundation Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Friday, November 15, 2013, at the funeral home.


She is survived by her husband Raymon Taylor of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Patrick and wife Pam Taylor of Edmonton, KY

  • Four daughters: Betty and husband Johnny Jessie of Glasgow, KY; Callie Green and friend Ronnie Lawson of Glasgow, KY; Mary and husband Richard Matthews of Edmonton, KY; and Ruth and husband Walter Gibbons of Cave City, KY

  • Son-in-law: Wayne Matthews of Edmonton, KY

  • Twenty-one grandchildren,
  • Thirty-seven great grandchildren

  • One great great grandchild
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by three sons, Jerry, Willie, and Baby Taylor; one daughter, Brenda Matthews; two brothers, Charles and Billy Davis. Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
