Mrs. Nadine McNear Johnson, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in Campbellsville, surrounded by her friends and family.

The funeral service for Mrs. Nadine McNear Johnson will be conducted Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery in Taylor County, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, on Friday, November 15, 2013, and on Saturday, November 16 after 6pmCT/7pmET.



Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She had professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include:
  • Her mother: Gladys Mattingly of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her grandmother: Mary Agnes of Raywick, KY

  • Two sons: James Timothy McNear and Jason Paul and wife Charlie McNear, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three daughters: Kathy Michelle McNear, Patricia Lynn Cox, and Sherry Nicole Davis and husband Shane, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three sisters: Treccia Buckman and husband David of Marion County, KY; Nancy McNear of Somerset, KY; and Joyline Bentley of Elkhorn, KY

  • One brother: Paul "Buddy" McNear and wife Gayle of Elkhorn, KY

  • Her stepfather: Bill Mattingly of Campbellsville, KY

  • Her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Larry and Hilda Cleaver of Campbellsville, KY

  • A special friend and companion: David Truex of Elkhorn, KY

  • Her former spouse: Timothy Hughes Johnson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren: Devin Lucas Moore McNear, Neal Upchurch, Jr., Kiara Maree Quintana, Vincent Kane Quintana, Jamie Lynn Cox, Christopher Lee Cox, Jayden Levi Cox, Jayline Kyle Williams, Anna Grace Davis, Jasmine Nicole Davis, Brooklyn Leanne Davis, Zachary Paul Johnson, and Natalie Paige Johnson
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Francis McNear; two sons, Michael Paul Johnson and Joseph Hughes Johnson, seven sisters, and one granddaughter, Kasey Michelle Upchurch.

The family requests that memorials be in the form of donations to the funeral expenses, and can be made at the funeral home.
