Election 2014: June Parson 1st to file for Mayor of Columbia

Three more candidates file on November 12, 2013, 29 candidates in first full week of filing, Wednesday, November 6 through Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

Three more candidates filed today, Tuesday, November 12, 2012 in Adair County:
  • Billy Dean Coffey, for Magistrate District 5, Republican. (Incumbent)
  • Lawrence Alan Burton, for Adair County Jailer. Republican
  • June Parson, for Mayor City of Columbia

Ten more candidates filed on Thursday and Friday, November 7-8 for Adair County Offices.

On Thursday, three filed:
  • Josh Brockman, for Sheriff, Republican
  • Sammy Baker, for Magistrate District 3, Republican (Incumbent)
  • Daryl Flatt, for Magistrate 2, Republican (Incumbent)
On Friday, seven candidates filed:

  • Michael Lee Stephens, for County Judge Executive, Democrat
  • Bryan Allen Feese, for Magistrate District 6, Democrat
  • Jason Rector, for Constable District 6, Republican (Incumbent)
  • Terry Farris, for Magistrate District 7, Democrat
  • Terry Hadley, for Magistrate District 7, Republican

Lawrence Alan Burton files for nomination for jailer



2013-11-12 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo CM staff photo. Lawrence Alan Burton, a 26 year Deputy Jailer, left filed this afternoon for the Republican nomination for Jailer. With him, from left, are his mother, Kathryn Burton, and Sharon and Bobby Burton, Lawrence Alan Burton's first cousin, supporters who signed his papers. Burton's father, Lawrence Burton, was jailer in the 1980s. Mr. Burton was the 28th local candidate to file since November 6, 2013.
