COLUMBIA, KY - No. 17- ranked Lindsey Wilson College football scored 41 straight points - including 35 in the second half - to sprint past visiting Bluefield (VA) College 51-3 on Saturday at *Blue Raider Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (8-2, 3-2 in the Mid-South Conference East Division) out-gained the Rams 503-215 in total yards to win its third straight. Lindsey Wilson has out-scored the opposition 172-27 during the winning streak.

While the Lindsey Wilson offense eclipsed the 50-point mark for a third time this season, the Blue Raider defense matched the program-record for points allowed in a game with surrendering just a second-quarter field goal.

Senior Rome Cotton -- playing in his final regular season game at Blue Raider Stadium -- rushed for 118 yards in the win. He became the first Blue Raider to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season with an eight-yard scamper late in the second quarter.

The 118 yards marks the fourth straight game Cotton rushed for triple digits.

Lindsey Wilson scored the game's first 10 points thanks to a Mark Corbett 21-yard field goal and a touchdown catch from Collin Keen from Jake Tieken -- who made his first career start today. Tieken finished the game 21-of-32 for 260 yards and three touchdown tosses.

Caleb Frye put the lone Bluefield (0-10, 0-5) points on the board with a 29-yard field goal with 6:52 left in the first half. The Blue Raider offense responded to the Bluefield score with a 13-play, 80-yard scoring drive in the waning seconds of the half. Tieken found Tavis Elzy for a 12-yard touchdown pass for a 16-3 lead entering the break. The touchdown catch is the seventh of the season for Elzy, matching Matt Powers for the team lead.

Out of the locker room, it was all Lindsey Wilson.

Tieken found Tyler Williams for a 19-yard score and four different Blue Raiders scored via the ground game in the second half en route to the win.

Cotton found the end zone for a ninth time this season on the ground on a 29-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter.

Josh Haney, Dakota Brown and Cory Davenport added rushing touchdowns.

Lindsey Wilson defense finished with a season-high three interceptions while forcing four turnovers. Michael Brooks picked off his third pass of the season while Eric Shaw and Romell Freeman recorded their first interceptions of the season. Chris Wells
