Richard D. West, Adair County, KY (1949-2013)

He was a native of Adair County, KY and a resident of Fayette County, KY, at the time of his death. He was a member of a large, respected NE Adair County, KY family, the son of the late Paul and Lucille Ellis West of the Pellyton Community. He leaves 5 direct living descendants and is survived locally by sisters Phyllis Gooden and Nancy Ellis, abd brother Freeman West. He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Bosch Rextroth Pneumatics where he was a member of Teamster Union Local #651.

Richard D. West, 64, of Lexington, KY formerly of the Pellyton Community of Adair County, KY died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his residence.

Graveside service: Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET at the Pellyton Cemetery, 100 Pellyton East Road, in the Pellyton Community of Adair County, KY. Visitation will be from 3pm-6pmCT/4pm-7pmET, on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Kerr Brothers , Harrodsburg Road Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY.

He was born Sunday, August 14, 1949 in Pellyton, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late: Paul and Lucille Ellis West. He died Thursday, November 7, 2103, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 64 years, 2 months, and 24 days.

He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Bosch Rextroth Pneumatics where he was a member of Teamster Union Local #651.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Jennifer West of Winchester, KY

  • Two sons: Ricky West and Jason West of Winchester, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Cory and Brittany West

  • Local survivors include:

  • One brother: Freeman (Joyce) West of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Phyllis Gooden of Campbellsville, KY; and Nancy (Kelly) Ellis of Columbia, KY
