COLUMBIA, KY - It was a senior night to remember as the Lindsey Wilson volleyball team closed out the regular season with a sweep of visiting Cumberlands (KY) at Biggers Sports Center.

Seniors Kailey Moorhead and Emily Meeks led the No. 9-ranked Blue Raiders with 12 and 10 kills respectively while senior Audra McNabney just missed double digits with nine kills in the 25-14, 25-17, 25-17 win.

Lindsey Wilson improves to 34-2 overall and completes the program's first Mid-South Conference perfect season at 18-0 with the win. The 34 wins are also a program record eclipsing the 33 wins in 1999.

Lindsey Wilson never trailed at any point in the match.

The Blue Raiders sprinted out to a 7-1 lead and led by as many as 11 (16-5) in the opening set en route to a 25-14 win. Moorhead and Meeks combined for eight kills in the set as the Blue Raiders hit .304 in the opening frame.

It was a quick start for the Blue Raiders in the second set as well as Lindsey Wilson scored 10 of the first 15 points in the set. Cumberlands (17-11, 8-10 in the MSC) battled back within three points (20-17) late in the set only to have McNabney put the finishing touches on the set.

Lindsey Wilson scored the set's final five points led by McNabney's two kills.

Cumberlands provided some fight in the third set as the two teams played even through the first 14 points. The Patriots managed to tie the match on four different occasions, but could never get over the top.

The Blue Raiders broke the 7-7 tie with four straight points -- including a kill each from Moorhead and Meeks. Alexia Just added a kill and a Cumberlands attacking error gave Lindsey Wilson an 11-7 lead.

Lindsey Wilson put the set out of reach with an 8-2 run late in the set.

Meeks and Nadelina Nesheva provided the final point with a combined block - one of 12 team blocks on the night - in the third set win.

Moorhead finished the night with a team-best .667 attacking percentage as the team finished the night hitting .361. Meeks added a .471 attacking percentage.

Just completed the match with 36 assists while Kirsten King provided a team-high 12 digs.

Cumberlands' Kelsey Eastham led the Patriots with nine kills.

The Blue Raiders enter postseason play next week at the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Louisville, KY. Lindsey Wilson is the top seed in the eight-team tournament. The conference tournament bracket is scheduled to be announced on Saturday night following the conclusion of the regular season.
