COLUMBIA, KY - The No. 9 Lindsey Wilson volleyball team swept Cumberland (Lebanon, TN) in Mid-South Conference action Tuesday afternoon, November 5, 2013, to match the single-season program record for wins.

Sarah Anderson led the Blue Raiders (33-2, 17-0) with nine kills, while Kailey Moorhead and Audra McNabney each tallied eight kills.



Alexa Just collected 35 assists, Kirsten King added 16 digs and Emily Meeks had five total blocks.

The Bulldogs (14-19, 5-12) were led by Abby Shaw with nine kills and Kasi Wells with nine assists. Jenna Pavan and Laura Peavy each grabbed 11 digs.

Lindsey Wilson jumped out front in the first set to a 16-7 lead. The Blue Raiders continued to apply pressure and went on a 4-1 run to take the set 25-11.

Both teams remained deadlocked in set two and exchanged leads before tying the score at 13. The Blue Raiders put together runs of 3-0, 5-0, and 4-0 to take the set 25-15.

The Bulldogs scored the first point of set three, but that would be their only lead of the set. McNabney got five of her eight kills in the last set and Lindsey Wilson extended its lead to as many as six points. Cumberland fought back to within three, but the Blue Raiders sealed the victory with a 3-0 run.
