Mrs. Alice Louise Stone Stalcup, age 87, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at The Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, TN, with Bro. Harry Cobb officiating. Congregational song leadership will be provided by Bro. Tommy Watson. Special singing will be provided by Terri Cassady and Melissa Smith. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery, N Main Street, Burkesville, KY The family will receive friends after 3pmCT/4pmET, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 until the funeral hour on Wednesday



Alice Louise Stalcup, 87, Cumberland Co., KY (1926-2013)


She was born in Celina, TN on Monday, July 5, 1926. She was the daughter of Greenberry and Annie Westmoreland Stone. She died Sunday, October 20, 2013, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 15 days.

She was a member of The Marrowbone Church of Christ and a Clerk at the National Store in Burkesville, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stalcup, whom she wed Sunday, December 20, 1942; her son, Freddie Stalcup; her brother Earl Green Stone, her sister Nadine Wainwright, her sister-in-law, Kay Stone; and her great-grandson, Ethan Morgan.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her son: Larry (and Brookie) Stalcup, of Burkesville, KY

  • Her daughter-in-law: Connie Stalcup, of Summer Shade, KY

  • Her brother: Houston Stone

  • And her sister-in-law: Shirley Stone, both of Pueblo, CO

  • Her grandchildren: Terri (and David) Cassady, Melissa (and Scot) Smith, Michael (and Kimmy) Stalcup, Neal (and Patty) Stalcup, and Michelle (and Jason) Cash

  • Her great-grandchildren: April (and Casey)Taylor, Eris Smith, Veronica Smith, Olivia Stalcup, Heather Nicole Stalcup, Braxton Gunner Stalcup Smith, Katlyn Gale Stalcup, Andruw Morgan, Sarah Jane Stalcup, Braydon Royce Smith, Elias Morgan, and Selexa Brook Smith.
