Lorine Oakes, 93, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral services for Lorine Oakes will be 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Kelly Burton, Jr. and Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Parks Ridge Cemetery.

She was born Sunday, July 11, 1920 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Dora Bell Carol Crockett. She died Monday, October 21, 2013, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 93 years, 3 months, and 10 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Parks Ridge Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junie Oakes; daughter, Darlene Crabtree; two sons, Philip Dale "Jim" Oakes, Paul Lee "Joe" Oakes; grandson, Wayne Crabtree; granddaughter, Rebecca Jo "Becky Jo" Oakes; siblings, Sally Polston, Ed Lee Crockett, Tom Crockett, John Crockett, Jim Crockett, David Crockett She is survived by the following:
  • Five sons: Ruel (Magaret) Oakes, Lewell (Helen) Oakes, Lilburn Oakes, and Marshall Oakes, all of Russell Springs, KY; and Dewell (Joyce) Oakes, Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters: Reva (Darrel) Richardson, Louisville, KY; and Gila (Dean) Gaskins, Louisville, KY
