Carol Perkins needs to run for high office, straighten things out Personal Commentary Comments re article 62788 Carol Perkins The Oceans are closed By Linda Waggener Good article Carol Perkins! I'll vote for you if you run for high office to help get us started back on a path to common sense leadership in government. I have simply been awed by the waste, awed by tax paid leaders able to do no work during tax paid work days while they enjoy tax paid insurance and tax paid benefits toward retirement . . . In a USA where all the rest of the citizens must produce a result before getting paid. I believe each and every leader responsible for the shutdown should now have a pay cut to a base of minimum wage with bonuses given back, up to a reasonable limit, for production of specific results. if there is a next time for a government shutdown, I want the result that those who shut it down are the first to lose pay and benefits, not those who work on the front lines of service to the tax paying citizens. Thank you for writing, - Linda This story was posted on 2013-10-21 05:55:47
