Herbert A. Wade, Russell County, KY (1915-2013)

He was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was a member of a very large highly regarded Russell County family. He was the last of 13 siblings. He was the son of the late Cassius and Eppie Rexroat Wade. A gifted artisan, he earned a widespread reputation for his extraordinary skills as a master welder. He leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Herbert A. Wade, 97, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at his home.

Funeral service for Herbert A. Wade will be at 10amCT, Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Ed Carpenter officiating. Friends may call after 8:30amCT, Tuesday. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

He was born Tuesday, December 28, 1915 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Cassius and Eppie Rexroat Wade. He died Thursday, October 10, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 97 years, 9 months, and 13 days.

He was a master welder.

He was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

Survivors include the following:
  • Four children: Rosemary Nisbet, Bloomingdale, IL; Elvis S. (Adeline) Wade, Schaumburg, IL; Suzanne (Jim) Rosbach, West Dundee, IL; and Yvonne (Roland) Seiden, Skokie, IL

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
