JIM: Source of great annoyance By JIM Adair County News, July 23, 1902: The dwelling owned and occupied by "Tanyard Annie" and her husband, two and half miles this side of Campbellsville, went up in smoke last Thursday night. The woman has enjoyed an unsavory reputation for a number of years and her dwelling place was a source of great annoyance to "the civilized community.""Tanyard Annie" trips off the tongue like water out of a gourd dipper.
