Martana Groce age 79 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Thursday, October 03, 2013 at Glasgow Health and Rehab, Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 05, 2013 at 3pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Ronnie Corbin officiating. Burial in Burkesville Cemetery. The family requests visitation 2pm-9pmCT, Friday, October 04, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.


Martana Groce, Cumberland County, KY (1934-2013)

Martana was born on Monday, May 7, 1934 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of late Vernon and Pearl Thacker Wray. She died Thursday, October 3, 2013, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 27 days.

She was of the Holiness faith and had worked at several sewing factories.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Groce, two sons, Ferlin Groce, and Freddy Groce, and three sisters, and five brothers.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Donnie Groce and his wife Gail of Burkesville, KY

  • Two daughters: Angela Sue Whitehouse of Glasgow, KY; and Crickett Morrison of Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Vestal Wright of Burkesville KY

  • One brother: Armond Wray of Burkesville, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren
