Billie Jean Corbin, Adair County, KY (1934-2013)

She was a native of Logan, WV, and a resident of Horse Cave, KY at the time of her death in Glasgow, KY. She was a long time resident of Taylor Ford Road area of Adair County, KY. While here she and her husband, the late Bill Earl Corbin, earned high respect from all they met. She leaves 27 direct living descendants. She was a member of Beulah Chapel Brethren In Christ Church and a homemaker

Billie Jean Corbin age 79 years of Horse Cave, KY, formerly of Taylor Ford Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2:18pmCT, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Danny Sallee the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Collumbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT/6pmET at the funeral home.



Billie Jean Corbin, Adair County, KY (1934-2013)


She was born Sunday, September 30, 1934 in Logan, Logan County, WV. She was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mamie McNeeley Adkins. She died Wednesday, October 2, 2013, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, and 2 days.

She was the widow of Bill Earl Corbin who preceded her in death on March 12, 2009.

She is survived by the following children:
  • Charles Crain of Elizabethtown, KY; Paul Crain of Munfordville, KY; Debra Corbin of Columbia, KY; Kevin (Virginia) Corbin of Columbia, KY; Randy (Sarah) Corbin of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Robert Adkins of Huntington, West Virginia

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Twelve great grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews, host of other relatives and friends
She was a member of Beulah Chapel Brethren In Christ Church and a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY in charge of funeral arrangements.
