She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was former Pre-School Sunday School Teacher for 35 years at Liletown United Methodist Church and Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a former Store Clerk for the Henderson Five & Dime. She leaves 5 direct living descendants spanning three generations.

Mrs. Virginia "Gin" Clark, 84, Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill, Greensburg, KY

The funeral services for Mrs. Virginia "Gin" Clark will be conducted at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Liletown Cemetery. Bro. Dale Curry will be officiating. Visitation is requested 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8amET, Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Randall Sutton Don Ingram John Ingram, Doug DeSpain David Taylor Woody Baugh, Michael DeSpain, and Wayne Edwards.

Mrs. Virginia (Gin) Lois Clark, Green Co., KY (1928-2013)

Mrs. Virginia "Gin" Lois Clark was the daughter of the late Veachel Russell and Beulah Lile Russell. She was born Monday, October 9, 1928 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Monday, September 30, 2013 in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 84 years, 11 months, and 21 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was former Pre-School Sunday School Teacher for 35 years at Liletown United Methodist Church and Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was also a former Store Clerk for the Henderson Five & Dime.

She united in marriage to Aris Gustav "Gusty" Clark on December 21, 1944 who preceded her in death on September 3, 1990.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Betty Lou Allison of Greensburg, KY; and Pat and Randall Sutton of Greensburg, KY

  • A granddaughter: Katy Ingram and her husband Don of Greensburg, KY

  • Two great-grandchildren: Allie Ingram and John Clark Ingram both of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Ken Allison on June 2, 2012.

Memorials are suggested to the Greensburg United Methodist Church Building Fund, or the Kentucky United Methodist Home for Youth and Children, which can be made at the funeral home.
