Mr. Arnold Joseph Lee, 73, Burkesville, KY (1940-2013)

He was a member of the Burkesville First Christian Church, he held the office of Cumberland County Property Valuation Administrator for many years, he was president of the Cumberland County Republicans Club, a member of Cumberland Lodge #413 F. and A.M., president of Cumberland County Jaycees, President of Kentucky Property Valuation Administrators Association, A radio announcer for WKYR Radio, a play-by-play announcer for Cumberland County High School Sports on WKYR Radio, the public address announcer for Cumberland County High School Sporting Events and an avid University of Kentucky Sports Fan.

Mr. Arnold Joseph Lee, age 73, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, KY.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Scott Ferguson officiating, with eulogies by Doug Butler and Lanny Judd. Burial will be in the Stockton Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2pmCT/3pmET, Wednesday, October 2, 2013 until the funeral hour on Thursday.

He was born in Cumberland County, KY on Tuesday, August 13, 1940, the son of Hollis Garland and Madie Carter Lee. He died Sunday, September 29, 2013, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 1 month, and 16 days.

He was a member of the Burkesville First Christian Church, he held the office of Cumberland County Property Valuation Administrator for many years, he was president of the Cumberland County Republicans Club, a member of Cumberland Lodge #413 F. and A.M., president of Cumberland County Jaycees, President of Kentucky Property Valuation Administrators Association, A radio announcer for WKYR Radio, a play-by-play announcer for Cumberland County High School Sports on WKYR Radio, the public address announcer for Cumberland County High School Sporting Events and an avid University of Kentucky Sports Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Thrasher Lee of Burkesville, KY, whom he married on Friday, February 26, 1960, and the following:
  • His daughter and son-in-law: Gina Shaye Lee-Watson and Larry Watson of Burkesville, KY

  • His son: Eddie Garland Lee of Burkesville, KY

  • His sister and brother-in-law: Carolyn Lee Strange and Chuck Strange of Burkesville, KY

  • His brother and sister-in-law: Danny Carter Lee and Gail Lee of Burkesville, KY

  • His grandchildren: Megan Acree, Matayea Watson, Mark Lee and Katye Watson

  • His great-grandchildren: Sidney Acree and Saban Roach

  • His special niece, Sarah Garner

  • And a special family member, Tammy Anderson
The family would appreciate contributions to The Stockton Cemetery Fund.
