CAUD Boil Water Advisory for some city customers starting at 10pmCT UPDATE, this Boil Water Advisory LIFTED as of 8amCT on Thursday, September 26, 2013, the boil water advisory for residents on Greensburg Street, Franklin Terrace, Mitchell Street, Baker Street, W. Frazier Ave., Cardinal Drive, Bluegrass Drive, Rice Drive, Colony Drive, Paull Street, Wall Street, High Street, Burkesville Street, Hudson Street, Lancaster Drive, Center Street, Page Street, Smith Street has been lifted by the Division of Water Columbia Office. This means your water is safe for human consumption. You no longer have to boil your water. A Boil Water Advistory will be in effect starting at 10pmCT, Tuessday, September 24, 2013, for consumers of Columbia Adair Utilities District (CAUD), for customers on Greensburg Street, Franklin Terrace, Mitchell Street, Baker Street, W. Frazier, Cardinal Drive, Bluegrass Drive, Rice Drive, Colony Drive, Paull Street, Wall Street, High Street, Burkesville Street, Hudson Street, Lancaster Drive, Center Street, Page Street, Smith Street.The advisory has been issued due to modifications in the city. Following such an event, the potential exists for bacteriological contamination of the water supply therefore this Boil Water Advisory has been issued as a precautionary measure. Until further notice, boil all water used for drinking and cooking, bringing the water to a rolling boil for three minutes before using. This advisory will remain in effect until the situation has been corrected and test results have shown the water to be of an acceptable quality.
