Two Russell Countians face multiple charges after traffic stop

Two Russell County residents arrested on multiple charges after traffic stop in the limits of Columbia by CPD Ofc. Drew Conn.

On Friday, September 20, 2013m at 7:17pmCT, Columbia Police initiated a traffic stop on a 1988 Blue Ford Ranger around the 900 block of Jamestown street. The vehicle was occupied by Charlse Gaskins, 27, of Russell Springs, KY, and his passenger 24 year old Latisha Bunch also of Russell Springs. Through investigation it was found that they were illegally in possession of controlled substances and placed under arrest. Charges are as follows.
  • Charlse Gaskins - No-Expired Registration Plate, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Latisha Bunch - Public intoxication of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
Both Gaskins and Bunch were lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Ofc. Drew Conn was assisted by Ofc. Johnny Dial. - Ofc. Josh Brockman
