Shelby Durham Roy Newman of Naples, Florida and formerly of Yosemite, Kentucky, passed away September 11, 2013 following a brief illness. She was 75.

Visitation is 9am-1pmCT/10am-2pmET, Monday, September 16, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with graveside services at 1:30pmCT/2:30pmET in the Durham Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating.

Shelby Durham Roy Newman, 75, Casey Co., KY (1937-2013)

She was born Saturday, November 27, 1937 in Yosemite, Casey County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Felix and Annabelle Walls Durham. She died Thursday, September 11, 2013, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 14 days.

Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Roy; son, Gregory Roy; sisters, Illena Pace and Rowena Black and brother, Clinton Durham.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her son: Jeffrey Roy and his wife Kimberly

  • Daughter-in-law: Debbie Roy

  • Six grandchildren: Angela, Lori, Candice, Amy, Jeffrey and Eric

  • Eight great grandchildren, Matthew, Austin, Kaytlyn, Billy, Sarah, Jakob, Kayla and TJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shelby's name can be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorill Lane, Naples, Florida 34105.
