LWC Soccer/Men: Keletso Mosime scores twice in the win

COLUMBIA, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men’s soccer team took control early and cruised to a 5-0 win over visiting Davenport (MI) Thursday, September 12, 2013 at *Walter S. Reuling Stadium.



The Blue Raiders (3-1-1) opened up the scoring in the 6th minute when Xavier Baumgart fed a quick pass to Yazeed Davids in the box, who tapped it in for what would be the game-winner. Davids led Lindsey Wilson with four shots on the night.

Baumgart would add a goal of his own in the 25th minute thanks to a Yusuf Ackers assist in front of the goal, giving Lindsey Wilson the 2-0 lead.

The Blue Raiders got their third goal of the night when Keletso Mosime scored on a free kick from the right flank in the 25th minute, beating the keeper on a curler. Mosime added a second goal in the 28th minute on a laser that found the left upper 90. With the goal, Lindsey Wilson took a 4-0 lead into the half.

Thirty seconds into the half, Tom Moody dribbled into the penalty box. The ball was deflected in front of Lwandiso Ganya, who tapped it into the back of the goal to make it 5-0.

Goalkeeper Yuta Nomura picked up the shutout, recording two saves in the win.

Dzenan Catic and Jai Maw each had a shot on goal to lead the Panthers, who fall to 4-2.
