Curtis Dean Blevins, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013, at his residence. He was 66.

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET Monday, September 9, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-8pmCT/ 6pm-9pmCT, Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers will be Ryan Blevins, Cody Jarrett, Tyler Bolin, Logan Woodrum, Thomas Hayes, and Michael Hayes.

Born Thursday, March 20, 1947, in Casey County, KY, he was a son of the late Edwin Jackson Blevins and Matilda Francis Dean Blevins. He died Friday, September 6, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 5 months, and 17 days.

He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by the following:
  • Six children: James (Becky) Blevins of Junction City, KY; Eric (Daphne) Blevins of Hustonville, KY; Robert Blevins of Liberty, KY; Kimberly (Damon) Jarrett of Moreland, KY; Janet Bolin of Liberty, KY; and Regina (Preston) Skipper of Gravel Switch, KY

  • Three brothers: Paul (Sharlene) Blevins, Randy (Nellie) Blevins, and Kenneth Blevins, all of Liberty; two sisters, Linnie Rose White of Plant City, FL and Wanda Miller of New Albany, IN
  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his dear wife, Judy lee Stafford Blevins; and brother, Jimmy Blevins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Cumberland Hospice.
