Paula Helm age 88 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 05, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at Big Sandy Holiness Church, 555 Allen Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Grundy Chapel Cemetery. Family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT/6pm-10pmET, Saturday, September 07, 2013 at Big Sandy Holiness Church.



Paula Helm, Burkesville, KY (1925-2013)


Paula was born on June 7, 1925 in Stanford, Lincoln County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Evelyn Tobin Hosley. She died Thursday, September 5, 2013, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 29 days.

She was a member of Big Sandy Holiness Church and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James William Helm; three brothers, William Hosley, Thomas Hosley, and Lee Hosley; and four sisters, Kate Baker, Nannie Owsley, Francis Hosley, and Nettie Dee Alexander.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Jerome Helm and Larry Helm both of Burkesville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Chris(Jessie)Scott, Anthony (Rachel) Scott, and Jonathan Scott

  • Five great grandchildren: Trey Scott, Darius Scott, Courtney Thacker, Myleigha Scott, and Kanna Smith

  • Nieces and nephews: Gwendolyn Barnes, Clara Robertson, George Alexander, Jr., Dwight Alexander, and Jimmy Alexander

  • Special friend: Becky Alexander

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
