Columbia man arrested on stolen property charge

James R. Jacobs also arrested on 2 outstanding warrants from Green County

Larry Smith, FM 92.7 FM, Columbia-Russell Springs, KY, is reporting that Adair County Deputy Sheriff B.J. Bray arrested 29 year old James R. Jacobs, Columbia, KY on September 4, 2013, on a charge of receiving stolen property. Jacobs was also arrested on two outstanding warrants from Green County. FM 92.7 the WAVE is reporting that Jacobs was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail this morning, Friday, September 6, 2013. The WAVE says that the arrest appears to be part of a larger story yet to be released by law enforcement. The arrest took place in the 100 block of Miller Avenue, Columbia, KY between Jamestown Street and Bryant Street, an area cordoned off for much of the day on Wednesday, September 4, 2013.

One arrest reported from Wednesday Police Blockade



2013-09-06 - From 300 Block, Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener. Larry Smith, 92.7 the WAVE, is reporting that one man was arrested on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at an apartment building at the corner of Bryant Street and Miller Avenue, in 100 block of Miller Avenue between Jamestown Street and Bryant Street which police and sheriffs had cordoned off for much of that day. 29 year old James R. Jacobs, Columbia, KY was arrested by Adair County Deputy B.J. Bray on a charge of receiving stolen property and was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Green County, KY. Jacobs is lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail at this time. The WAVE says that the arrest appears to be part of a larger story yet to be released by law enforcement.
