Charles Grimsley, Chairman of the Parks & Recreation Board, announced that 401 Ducks had been entered by 12:30pmCT, as he and Holly Edwards closed ticket sales at 12:30pmCT, to participate as officials in the race.

Chief Race Steward Greg Thomas has revealed that this year's Wacky, Quacky Duck Race will take place on Butler Branch, a major tributary of mighty Russell Creek, at a point parallel to Knifley Road/KY 551 between Campbellsville Road and Pelly Lane. Spectator areas are usually adequate to handle the crowds.
