Mr. William Jerry Curry, Green County, KY (1937-2013)

He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Lawrence Jenkins Curry and Catherine Neagle Curry. His wife, Virginia Sweeney Curry, survives. Mr. Curry had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. William Jerry Curry, 76. departed this life Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill Manor, Greensburg, KY.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Steet, Greensburg, KY, at 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday, September 3, 2013 with Bro. Eudell Stilts adn Bro. Leo Curry the officiating clergy. Visitation is after 5pmCT/6pmET, Monday, September 2, 2013, and and after 7amCT/8amET, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Lane Cemetery, Green County, KY.



Pallbearers: Joe Simpson, Kenny Dixon, Chad Dixon, Ronald Dixon, Steve Durrett, Josh Wright, Eddie Scroggy, and Vic Peek.

Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Dixon, Mike Harmon, Carlos Patterson, Cleston Patterson, Donnie Judd, Nelson Posey and C. Wood Wright

Mr. William Jerry Curry was born Monday, May 17, 1937 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late Lawrence Jenkins Curry and Catherine Neagle Curry. He departed this life Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of 76 years, 3 months and 14 days.

Mr. Curry had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and one step-brother: Sylvia Fosteen Scroggy, Millie Dixon, Ray Curry and Orville Thompson.

He is survived by his wife: Virginia Sweeney Curry, and the following:
  • One daughter: Karen Lane Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • One step daughter and her husband: Kathy Lynn and Danny Miller of Lawrenceville, GA

  • His step-mother: Stella T. Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister and brother-in-law: Stella Ann and Steve Durrett of Green County, KY

  • Two step brothers: James Thompson of Greensburg and Ed and Charlotte Thompson of Farmington, MO

  • Two grandchildren: Bradley Morgan Miller and Derron Blake Miller

  • Special nieces and nephews: Kenneth and Becky Dixon, Marisa and Chad Dixon, Ruthie and Donnie Judd, Paul Dixon, Nicole Gilpin, Amanda Parks, Josh and Cecile Wright, all of Green County, KY, and Ronald and Becky Dixon of Metcalfe County, KY

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
