Johnny Lewis Young. age 50 of Summer Shade died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Monday, September 2, 2013, at Bu tler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Cedar Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, at the funeral home.


He is survived by his wife Katrina Emberton Young, and the following:
  • One son John David Young of Glasgow, KY

  • One daughter: Tonya Young of Edmonton, KY

  • Two step children: Haley and Natalie Barrett both of Summer Shade, KY

  • Three brothers. Jeff Young of Edmonton, KY; Roy and Earl Young both of Indiana

  • Four sisters: Rita Bryant and Donita Young of Edmonton, KY; Jewell Hurt of Scottsburg, IN; and Mary Bryant of Frankfort, KY.
  • Three grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Bill Young, Darrell Young, Lee Young, Virginia Ann Young and Francis Josephine Smith
