Is better signage the answer: Victoria Pike wonders People just DO NOT follow the signage or the rules of the road and then when they get in trouble, they want to blame someone else. I think, the real problem out here is that we have so many signs that nobody pays any attention to any of them. Sometimes less is more. - Victoria Pike By Victoria Pike Last year a sign was placed at the intersection of HWY 61S and HWY 80W with an arrow straight ahead to the Cumberland Parkway. However, we still continue to get trucks turning down 80W trying to get on the parkway and then can't get turned around when they see they have made a wrong turn. I had one in the fence just past the turn onto Edmonton Road/KY 80W a few months ago and it took two tow trucks to get him off the fence to keep from tearing it down. It was dark and he got off into the grass trying to make a u turn and started sliding. Another was aiming to turn down our private drive during wet weather and turn on the grass which would have resulted in a gully cut in the field and another tow truck to get him out. I stopped him and told him that it wasn't a good idea but it went south after that. Some people just don't pay attention to the signage we have. I am not sure what they can do to make it any clearer. Just like the double yellow line that extends way past our driveway turn, yet people feel the need to pass me because I am going slow getting ready to turn left into my drive, left signal on. Have almost been hit several times because people DO NOT follow the instructions they are given. You see everything out here around the interchange. We get people going down the getting off ramps pretty much on a daily basis and people in the wrong lanes trying to turn.
