She was the former owner/operator of the Farmer's Service Store in Russell Springs, KY. She was a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Garland Cundiff. She leaves 15 direct living descendants

Jane Catherine (Pelly) Cundiff, 98, of Jericho Road, Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, August 26, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY.

Funeral service for Catherine Cundiff will be 2pmCT/3pmET, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Carroll Egnew officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Friday, August 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Special Music will be by Heavenly Harmony.


Catherine Cundiff, Russell Co., KY, Adair Co. native (1915-2013)

She was born July 25, 1915 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late O. C. & Mary Evans Pelley. She died Monday, August 26, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 98 years, 1 month, and 1 day.

She was the former owner/operator of the Farmer's Service Store in Russell Springs. She was a member of the Russell Springs Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Garland Cundiff and a son, Billy Todd Cundiff. Survivors include the following:
  • Three grandchildren: Todd (Rhonda) Cundiff, Curt (Christy) Cundiff, Angie (Steve) Roy, all of Russell Springs, KY.

  • Six great grandchildren

  • Six great great grandchildren

  • One daughter-in-law: Barbara Cundiff, Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Wilma Ballou, Henderson, KY

  • One brother: Samuel Pelley, KY

  • One sister-in-law: Louise Carnes, Louisville, KY
The family requests that expressions of symptathy be made to the Russell Springs Church Building Fund or the Gideon Memorial Bible Fan. These can be made at the funeral home.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY in charge of arrangements.
