Arlin Wheet, Adair County, KY (1946-2013)

He was a native of the Chance Community of Adair County, KY and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was a member of a highly regarded family with deep roots in Adair and Metcalfe Counties of South Central Kentucky and elsewhere. He was the son of the late Simpson & Ebline Young Wheet. His wife, Pat Glass Wheet, survives. He attended the Church of Christ. He was retired from McCamish Manufacturing in Columbia, KY. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, and will be accorded full military honors by the DAV Chapter 20, Glasgow, KY at interment in Randolph, Metcalfe County, KY, where Don Franklin, Jr., will deliver the eulogy

Arlin Wheet age 66 years of Wheet Road, Columbia, KY, passed away passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 at 6:06pmCT at his home.

Graveside service Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmCT, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph, KY in Metcalfe County. With full Military Honors present by the DAV Chapter 20 Glasgow, KY. Eulogy will be delivered by Don Franklin, Jr. Visitation after 4pmCT/5pmET, Monday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. There will be no visitation on Tuesday at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Daniel Glass, Don Glass, Royce Oakes, Chad Wheet, Randell Glass and James Earl Corbin.

He was born Monday, October 14, 1946 at Chance, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Simpson & Ebline Young Wheet. He died Friday, August 16, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 2 days.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Stacy Wheet and a brother, Joe Wheet. He is survived by the following:
  • His wife: Pat Glass Wheet of Columbia, KY

  • One son: John Patrick Scott of Edmonton, KY

  • One sister: Patricia Wheeler of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Nelry Wheet of Indianapolis, IN

  • Mother-in-law & father-in-law: Derral & Barbara Glass of Edmonton, KY

  • Brothers-in-law: Don (Kathy) Glass & Randell (Diania) Glass of Edmonton, KY

  • Sister-in-law: Beverly (Donald) Bruton of Smiths Grove, KY
  • Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends and special friends at Jamestown Auction and beloved cats.
  • Arlin Wheet attended the Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was retired from McCamish Manufacturing in Columbia, KY. Send a condolence to the family of Arlin Wheet
