Bob Valvano was the Keynote speaker at the Adair County School System's opening day activities he entertained both the certified and classified staff with wonderful real life examples of how laughter, thinking, and emotion are the key to living and how coming together as a community enables us to get through any adversity or change.

His program was well received and appropriate with all the new changes in the Adair County School System.

Mr. Valvano is a well known college basketball analyst on ESPN TV and Radio as well as a game analyst for the University of Louisville Basketball TV and Radio. His life experiences not only include extensive media positions but, he has coached at all three NCAA levels for over 21 years which included teaching, and 16 years of experience in Europe as Head Coach.

His most recent accomplishment is being named 2012 Broadcaster of the Year by Sports Illustrated. - SHAMARIE CLAIBORNE, Adair County School District
