School opens: Take extra precautions in commutes tomorrow A reminder from the Columbia Police Department By Ofc. Josh Brockman Columbia Police Department, Jason Cross, Chief Columbia Police Department would like to remind everyone to take extra precaution in their morning and afternoon commutes as Adair County Schools gets underway Wednesday morning, August 14, 2013. There will be a few adjustments in traffic flow around the campus with the opening of the new school so we ask each and every driver to be patient, courteous, and mindful of other drivers. Columbia Police will be monitoring traffic in the school zones and around the campus. We would also like to wish a successful start to all the students, faculty, and staff of Adair County Schools.
