Ora Mardell Anderson, age 78 of Burkesville, KY, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 12, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summershade, KY, with Bro Freddie Froedge officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday, August 11, 2013, at 12pmCT/1pmET.

She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Glen and Susan Syra Shaw.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Anderson, and the following:
  • One son: Larry (Melissa) Anderson of Burkesville, KY

  • One sister: Donnie Lester of Edmonton, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Tonya (Michael ) Scott and Donald (Terri) Anderson

  • Two great grandchildren: Justin Scott and Nicholas Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Justin Adam Anderson and six brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to the Summer Shade Cemetery at the McMurtrey Funeral Home at 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY 42166.
