It started out as a modest event, but has really grown. It's really coming together and looks like one everybody will remember and one we may make an annual affair. The Fish Fry is the main attraction. Here's What's on the Menu: Catfish, Hotdogs, Pizza, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Hush Puppies, Homemade Cobblers, Fried Apple Pies, (while supply lasts) Cookies and Potato Chips. Drinks: Lemonade, Tea, Soft Drinks, WaterTony Durban is the presiding Fish Chef, with the men of the church helping fry the fish, the ladies of the church will be preparing the side items. I think you'll love the Catfish. Tony's are cook Chunk Style, with nice, flavorful, thick filets of local fish; the pieces come out golden brown on the outside, fried with a light coating of cornmeal, and are white and flaky on the inside. All activities will be outside, but a large tent will be set up with tables and chairs for dining and a stage will be provided for singing Saturday night. Already the featured singers include some big names: The Faith Family from Greensburg, KY, Bro. Keith Fields, Pastor of GBC, and family; Jim & Shirley Pilkington, Columbia, KY; Savannah Judd, Greensburg, KY, the Gradyville Baptist Youth Choir, + others. We hope you'll join us anytime during the day, but, better still, come make a day of it with us. - Mike Bennett Event Details - A Community Fish fry will be held at Gradyville Baptist Church, 159 Old Gradyville Church Road, Columbia, KY on Saturday, August 10, 2013.
