Mrs. Gloria Jean Milby, Green County, KY (1940-2013)

She was a native of Jefferson County, KY and a resident of Green County at the time of her death. She leaves 10 direct living descendants. Mrs. Milby had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

The funeral service will be at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, at 1pmCT/2pmET, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 with Rev. Timmy Glass and Rev. Scott Coats, the officiating clergy. Visitation will be Tuesday after 10amCT/11amET, until the funeral hour. Interment will be Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY.



Pallbearers: Keith Thompson, Woody Kinney, David Lawhorn, Randy Milby, Ross Milby, and Bill Hargan.


Mrs. Gloria Jean Milby, Green County, KY (1940-2013)


Mrs. Gloria Jean Milby was Sunday, born July 14, 1940 in Jefferson County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Kinney and Lucille Shuffett Kinney. She departed this life Saturday, August 3, 2013 at her home in Green County, having attained the age of 73 years and 19 days.

Mrs. Milby had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters: Brenda Letcho and Gearldean Kinney.

She is survived by her husband: Marvin Milby, Jr., and the following:
    One daughter and son-in-law: Terrie and David Lawhorn of Summersville, KY
  • One son: Steven Wade Milby of Greensburg, KY

  • Three brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Thersa Kinney of Louisville, KY; Woodrow Wilson Kinney, Jr. and Pam of Taylorsville, KY; and Michael and Debra Kinney of Florida

  • Three sisters and brothers-in-law: Doris and Johnny Bagby of Greensburg, KY; Linda and David Hill of Sonora, KY; and Diane and Tony Hernadge of Florida

  • Four grandchildren: Stephan Keith Thompson of Campbellsville, KY; Brandy Jean Piro of St. Louis, MO; and Steven Ross Milby and Sara Katlyn Milby of Greensburg, KY

  • Three great grandchildren: Kaley Marie Piro, Aubrey Piro and Hope Elizabeth Piro, all of St. Louis, MO

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
