Danielle Clore, executive director of the Kentucky Nonprofit Network, will be leading the workshop sessions. She provides overall leadership for the network and specializes in consulting in the areas of board governance, strategic planning, and fundraising.

"Nonprofit organizations are more than charity - they are employers, contributors to the economy, and vital partners in meeting community needs," said Clore. "These workshops will discuss the best practices for strengthening these partnerships to advance Kentucky communities."

The workshops will be presented in two sessions: an opening message on "Kentucky's Nonprofit Sector - Economic Partners in Strengthening Your Community," followed by lunch and networking, returning shortly thereafter for a final discussion on "Advantages and Challenges of Partnering with Nonprofits."

The leadership workshops are presented by The Center, a nonprofit organization based in Somerset that serves 45 counties in Southern and Eastern Kentucky, and funded through the Appalachian Regional Commission.

Founded in 2002, the Kentucky Nonprofit Network (KNN) is an association of organizations of all types and sizes in all 120 Kentucky counties. KNN is a statewide resource for nonprofit board members, staff, and other leaders; an information center on effective nonprofit organizational practices; and an advocate for the nonprofit sector as a whole.
