He was the son of the late William & Effie Gann York. His wife, Beulah L. Grider York, survives. He leaves 27 direct and three step living descendants. He was a truck driver and Army veteran. He will be accorded military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad. He was of the Baptist faith.

Roy C. York passed away Thursday August 1, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Williamstown, , KY. He was 79.

Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET, Monday August 5, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Dennis Morgan officiating. Burial is at Willow Springs Cemetery with military honors by the Casey County Funeral Squad. Visitation is Sunday, August 4, 2013, 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, at the funeral home.

Born Monday, November 13, 1933 in Waynesville, Pulaski County, MO, he was the son of late William & Effie Gann York. He died Thursday, August 1, 2013, in Williamstown, Grant County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 18 days. He was a truck driver and Army veteran. Mr. York was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife , Beulah L. Grider York of Stamping Ground, KY, and the following:
  • Four children, Calvin (and Lela) York, Terry (and Alice) York , Brenda (and Allen) Wood and Sherry (and Mark) Sundell all of Missouri

  • Three step-daughters, Brenda (and Jimmy) Offutt and Carolyn Poff both of Stamping Ground, KY; and Bernice Hines of Georgetown, KY

  • Twenty-one grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren

  • Five sisters

  • and one brother
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Sreet, Liberty, KY.
