Historic Lindsey Wilson Bell is safe, in storage A creative reuse of the bell may be forthcoming Click on headline for item with photo(s) From Lindsey Wilson College Plant Operations The historic bell which once summoned students to classes at the Lindsey Wilson and was used to celebrate victories in athletic competition is safe, secure, and intact, Mike Newton, Director of Plant Operations confirmed today. The bell was removed from the Administration Building some 40 years ago, and Garry Coomer, who is still with Plant Operations, was part of the crew which carried out the operation.
