J.C. Reliford, 86, formerly of Adair Co., KY (d. July 28, 2013)

He was the son of the late Jim & Anna Kemp Reliford of Adair County, KY. He was the husband of Opal Reliford, who survives. He leaves 19 direct living descendants. He served his country in the United States Army, retired after 36 years from I.C.I. Americas. He was a member of Grace and Truth Fellowship Church in Clarksville, IN, a car and motorcycle enthusiast, and a musician

J. C. Reliford age 86 years of Sellersburg, IN, formerly of Adair County, KY, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10amCT/11amET at Garr Funeral Home 7806 Hwy 311. Sellersburg, IN. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Henryville, IN Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013, 1pm-7pmCT/2pm-8pmET, at Garr Funeral Home.


He served his country in the United States Army, retired after 36 years From I.C.I. Americas. He was a member of Grace and Truth Fellowship Church in Clarksville, IN, a car and motorcycle enthusiast, and a musician.

He was the son of the late Jim & Anna Kemp Reliford of Adair County.

He is survived by his wife Opal Reliford of Sellersburg, IN, and the following:
  • One son: Timothy Allen Reliford & wife Melissa of Borden IN

  • One daughter: Linda Branham & husband Charles of Jeffersonville, IN

  • One brother: Leonard Reliford & wife Christine of Columbia, KY

  • Grandchildren: William Branham, Chuck Branham, April Hulsey, Kara Cole, Stephen Reliford, Jason Reliford, Eythan Reliford, Zachory Couch and Maisy Reliford

  • Eight great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by daughters Charlotte Ann Reliford-Talbot and Deborah K. Reliford-Couch, and sons Michael DeWayne Reliford and Jerry Wayne Reliford.
