He was a native of Breckinridge County, KY, and a member of a highly regarded family with many relatives in Breckinridge, Hardin, and Adair Counties and many other parts of Kentucky. His wife, Hattie Lee Jessie Ramsey, survives. He leaves 16 direct living descendants. He was a car salesman and a mechanic.

Frank C. Ramsey, 72, of Hardyville, KY, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 2:48amCT, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Darrell Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT/4pmET, Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at the funeral home.

He was born Thursday, April 23, 1941, in Custer, Breckinridge County, KY. He was the son of the late Hobby & Effie Ford Ramsey. He died Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at age of 72 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Ramsey, and one grandchild.

He was a car salesman and a mechanic.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Hattie Lee Jessie Ramsey of Hardyville, KY

  • Four daughters: Renee (Keith) Lucas of Hardinsburg, KY, and Sandy (Joe) Rogers, Beverly (Kenzie) Rowe and Donna (Greg) Rogers all of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Mike Ballou of Glasgow, KY

  • One brother: William R. Ramsey of Custer, KY

  • Two sisters: Rita Joyce Lucas of Kingswood, KY and Linda Skaggs of Cecilia, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • And two great-grandchildren
