Fountain Run man arrested for Monroe Co., KY murder 25 year old arrested in limits of Bowling Green, charged with the murder of 53 year old Roger G. Mansfield of Cherry Street, Fountain Run, KY Next previous story in case: Monroe County, KY homicide investigation underway By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer News from Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY TOMPKINSVILLE, KY - 25-year-old Kassey Russell of Fountain Run was arrested on Tuesday night, July 9, 2013, at 11:47pmCT in the limits of Bowling Green at Kentucky State Police Post 3. Russell was charged with the Murder of 53-year-old Roger G. Mansfield of Cherry Street, Fountain Run, KY. Detectives developed information throughout the course of the day that led them to Russell who was found at a local hotel in Bowling Green. KSP personnel from Post 3 initially arrested Russell on an unrelated warrant prior to charging him with the murder. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday at the State Medical Examiner's office in Louisville to determine the exact cause of death. Detective Bradley Stotts is investigating.
