Willie Mat Feese, Adair County, KY (1915-2013)

He was a greatly appreciated citizen of Adair County, KY, the patriarch of a large, highly distinguished family. He was the son of the late Joseph & Birch Burton Feese. His wife of 75 years, Grace Davis Feese, survives. He leaves 44 direct living descendants. He was a member of Beulah Chapel Brethren In Christ Church. During his life he had been a farmer, sawmill owner, tractor dealer, automotive dealer operating Feese Motors in Columbia & Campbellsville, as well as Feese Auto Parts

Willie Mat Feese, age 97 years of Columbia, Ky. passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 1:25amCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.

Funeral service Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Clifton Bennett the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT, Friday, July 12, 2013.

He was born on Sunday, November 21, 1915 in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the Joseph & Birch Burton Feese. He died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 97 years, 7 months, and 18 days.

He is survived by wife of 75 years, Grace Davis Feese, of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Willie Mat (Donna) Feese, Jr. of Columba, KY

  • Four daughters: Margie (Jack) Collins of Columbia, KY; Bertha Goodin, (whose late husband, was Homer), of Columbia, KY; Eileen (Paul) Hamilton of Danville, KY; Barbara (Mark) Frazier of Georgia

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Twenty-six great grandchildren

  • Two great-great grandchildren

  • Nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
